132 Spring Coffee & Kitchen Bar
This cute and slightly hipster corner kitchen is a great place to have a quiet brunch. They have created a pleasant oasis away from the usual Sunday Funday crowd. I love Sunday Funday too, but sometimes I just want a nice meal in a pleasant atmosphere. We found exactly that here! We tried the 132 Spring Street omelet that was made from farm fresh eggs and served with bell peppers, arugula, grape tomatoes, cheddar cheese and toast with butter and strawberry jam. I probably would call it a deconstructed omelet since the goodies were on top instead of inside, but it tasted fresh and presented beautifully. We also tried the bacon, egg, cheese and arugula biscuit that was served with hot pepper jam. The biscuit was crumbly so I ate it with a fork and knife but I really enjoyed the crispy outer layer. The hot pepper jam, well it just elevated this classic combination! When I return, and I will, I will make sure that I ask for extra pepper jam! It had just enough heat to be present but didn’t over take the flavors of the biscuit and ingredients.
