Post and Courier Farmer’s Market
134 Columbus Street, Charleston, S.C., 29403
Are you looking for some local goods? Every Sunday the Post and Courier opens their lot to local vendors for a Farmer’s Market event. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There were food trucks on the scene as well as live music. We love supporting local vendors and there was a very eclectic selection of items to browse. Precious children’s clothing, honey, meat, stained glass, spices, ice cream, handcrafted knives and more! It was smaller than the market at Marion Square but they expect to increase in size as the word gets out. We found that it was easier to get around since it wasn’t as crowded as other farmer’s markets and it also gave us the opportunity to speak to the vendors about their products. Although not confirmed and subject to change, they plan on remaining open for business through December. They plan on rebooting in March and maybe sooner since our climate supports early crops! Support local vendors, our neighbors, our farmers, our crafters and our community!
